Strobe welcomes Legendary Detroit Techno/House Producer Santonio Echols Phase 2 EP

Santonio Echols (Santonio, Dj Adam Pole) (Tresor Records (Berlin)Detroit Dancer, D Records (Germany,) A.E.S. (Art, Eddie and Santonio,) Opilec Music, Cyren America Records, Siren, Chapter 2 Recordings (Detroit), Made In Detroit, Jambalay Records (IT) Random Noise Recordings (Belgium) and q mentoring partner to I Believe In You Records [USA]. Santonio is member of the first generation of Techno Producers to emerge from Detroit, MI, in the late 1980%u2019s. His discography spans 1987 to date and he is currently in production on the Liz Torres %u201CMind Games – Remix%u201D on Third Ear Recordings.

Echols is well known for his role in the famed duo %u201CReese & Santonio,%u201D who are responsible for timeless underground classics spanning 1987-89, “The Sound/ How To Play Our Music, Bounce Your Body to the Box, Truth of Self Evidence and the internationally renowned “Rock to the Beat” which was distributed in 1988 on the UK label %u201Cffrr%u201D (Full Frequency Range Recordings.)

After completing production in England with ffrr, Echols had the confidence to continue his passion for producing techno and house music. He developed a relationship with Paragon Productions and James Pennington aka Suburban Knight and the compilation, %u201CThere%u2019s No Way Out%u201D featuring the track %u201CIt%u2019s Not Over,%u201D was released. Additionally in 1989 Santonio remixed “Take me away” by Bridgette Grace, written by Jeff Mills and T.Srock for Paragon Productions. Santonio Echols has toured in Europe including gigs at Tresor in Berlin and the Flam Club in Cologne. He started DJ%u2019ing when he was 19 years old with his brother Duane Evans in the old school traditions of the West Side of Detroit and never stopped being committed to going to the next level. 2007 saw the release of %u201CExtraction of Identity%u201D on Cyren America Records. This is one of over 30 releases

During the last two years Santonio has worked Moire Patterns, Clemens Neufeld, Oliver Lieb, Combinator, Jonas Asp, Duane Evans, Orlando Voorn, MoBlack, Dj Deep, Greg Stafford, Claude Young, Blake Baxter, Eddie Fowlkes, Raquel Roberts, Gospel singer QuWonna Toney , Mike Anderson (Italy), Robert Doubledee Mills (Italy.)

Santonio has a list too long to name of people he thanks keeping him committed to the dream and reminding him to never give up, however he would be remiss to not recognize the loving support of his wife and children, as well friends in music and life including Blake Baxter, Eddie Fowlkes and his brother Duane Evans
